Over two weekends, learn the basics of the Japanese art of Shibori and dye your own fabric.
About this Event
Shibori is a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique which produces a number of different patterns on fabric. The end result depends on the technique, the choice of fabric and the dye so be ready to experiment.
Having learnt the art of Shibori in Bali, facilitator Mary Brady is ready to pass on her skills in this introductory course over two weekends:
Sunday 14th and Sunday 21st February
10am - 2pm both weekends (total 8 hours tuition)
Dyes, fabric , thread, and other equipment.
Tea and coffee facilities available.
What to bring:
The dyeing process can be messy so bring protection such as gloves and an apron and wear old clothes.
