Watercolour Painting Class: Islamic Geometry

The symmetry and complexity of Islamic Geometric designs aim to depict harmony and the unity of the universe's creation. The geometric figure of the circle represents the primordial symbol of unity and the ultimate source of all diversity in creation. In this class you will explore these patterns while Improving your brushstroke and colour skills using watercolour paints.

In this class, participants will use traditional watercolour pigments on hand-made deckle edge papers in which designs will be pre-traced on. You will have the option of choosing one large A4 watercolour paper, or two A5 papers.

The series combines three classes into one; floral motifs, Iznik & Tezhip and Islamic geometry. All classes part of this series will be conducted together and you will have the option of choosing your own design templates.
