Pilgrimage Retreat

Get ready to embark on a soulful journey at the Pilgrimage Retreat, where we'll experience solitude and silence in community.

Experiencing the eloquence of solitude and silence - whilst in community - allows us to be open to God and to become aware of the dimensions of life we often miss. These disciplines are at the heart of Christian spirituality and formation.

What should you expect?

While in community, there will be space for:

  • Teaching and Discussion
  • Personal Reflection
  • Social Gathering.

The retreat will include 24 hours of silence.

Attend with an empty agenda and a desire to know more of God.

You will need to bring clothes, toiletries (+soap), medication, hairdryer (if required), coat/ jacket/ shoes suitable for beach walking. You would also consider bringing a clock/watch and bible other than the one on my device; and a pair of indoor slippers for comfort.

However, you can leave the following items at home: linen, technology that will distract, work, studies/ assignments. Instead, attend with an empty agenda and a desire to know more of God.

Old Maps No Longer Work

...“I keep going over the old map, but now the roads lead nowhere, a meaningless wilderness where life is dull and futile...

“Toss away the old map,” she says

“You must be kidding!” I reply.

She looks at me with Sarah eyes and repeats, “Toss it away. It’s of no use where you’re going.”

“I have to have a map!” I cry, “even if it takes me nowhere. I can’t be without direction...”
