Heart Starter Study Day

This study day is an introduction to cardiac care, to assist nurses in caring for patients with cardiac-related conditions. It is designed to develop knowledge of common cardiac conditions, treatments and basic ECG interpretation. This study day is appropriate for nurses in all areas who care for patients with cardiac conditions.

Topics include:

- Cardiac Anatomy and Physiology

- Basic ECG Rhythm Interpretation

- Heart Dissection

-Heart Failure

-Acute Coronary Syndrome Management

Please note this day includes an animal heart dissection. If you are not comfortable with this please let the facilitators know.
