Join us for the VetsinTech Cybersecurity Masterclass – an online event where you'll learn the ins and outs of cybersecurity.

VetsinTech has partnered with a leading Security+ Training provider to offer a five-day hands-on Security+ Bootcamp and we will include the Sec+ Certification Exams to be done on the 5th day of the Bootcamp. The VetsinTech Security+ Boot Camp is open to all service members, military veterans, and spouses interested in going into the field of Cybersecurity, even those with little to no background in the field. That is why we give you online access to foundational training in A+ and Net+ to complete prior to starting the Sec+ course

This course includes the Sec+ certification exam voucher for those that attend each live session and complete the prerequisite work. You must be able to allocate a minimum of 40 hours to complete all of the A+ and/or Net+ training that we will give you online access before completing Sec+ prestudy that accompanies the 5-day Bootcamp.

Registration Requirements:

MUST be Active Duty, Trainsitioning Veteran, Separated Veteran, or Spouse of one of these
MUST have an active account at https://vetsintech.co
MUST have validated through the ID.me portal at the website above
MUST commit to attending the Orientation and all daily sessions. Orientation will be held the week prior to the course beginning. This Orientation will be at 9AM Pacific. Details will be shared upon acceptance into the course.
MUST have a Github (or similar) version control account

Students that do not attend the Orientation will not be allowed to attend the course unless arrangements are made through the Education Director or Education Coordinator.

Required:

Must have a working computer with Zoom installed.

Please be prepared to have cameras on during class, and to be intereactive in the video chat & Slack. We highly recommend using a second monitor so that you can be watching the instructor on one screen and completing activities on the other. (This is important for the purpose of becoming proficient and efficient with the programming).

Course Outline:

Prerequisites: A+ material and Network+ material will be provided for the students. These MUST be completed prior to the start of the live sessions.
1 week of live training through Zoom and Canvas LMS

The course will be taught by an experienced IT professional who is certified in all of the covered exams.
