A Melbourne evening with Dr Sarah Kerr ~ Maps, Myths and Meanings: A spiritual geography of death and loss

Death is more than just a physical experience. It’s a transformational soul-journey, for the dying person and for those who love them. Dominant culture primarily views death as the end of the physical body, and dying as a medical event. This approach ignores the very real, non-physical, spiritual and relational dynamics that unfold as body and soul separate. No wonder we have trouble navigating death well: we’re operating from an incomplete map. If we had a better map for the process of death, dying, and being dead, we could develop better practices for meeting those experiences.

In this dynamic lecture, filled with rich story-telling, Sarah offers a pragmatic soul map of death and loss that’s rooted in nature-based spirituality, modern consciousness research, and ancient wisdom traditions.
