ABOUT

These school holidays, the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) invites students to participate in a series of ballet classes, led by experienced RAD examiners and tutors who are experts in the RAD syllabus.

Classes focus on coaching the syllabus and are a great way to prepare before RAD exams, to keep up fitness during the school holidays, and to further refine ballet technique. Don't miss out!

Tutors

xxx is a graduate of The Royal Ballet School Teacher's Training Course with the School's Diploma in Ballet Teaching. Julia is a Life Member, Examiner, Tutor, and Practical Teaching Supervisor for the Royal Academy of Dance and holds the Academy's Advanced Teaching Diploma. Julia is a dance teacher, choreographer, director, and examiner, with over 45 years’ experience encompassing running her own dance school and youth company and teaching full-time vocational and university dance programs.

xxx was fortunate to have studied with many of the country’s finest teachers. As a teenager Katherine was a soloist with the youth company, Border Ballet, and performed roles from both traditional repertoire and specially commissioned pieces. Katherine has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from University of Melbourne (VCA) and a Master of Teaching (Dance) from the University of Surrey (RAD). Katherine was admitted to the Panel of Examiners in 2018.

xxx  holds a Diploma of Dance from the Australian Ballet School having danced with both the Australian Ballet Company and the Dancers Company. Susan has had an extensive performing career in both classical ballet and musical theater spanning over 15 years. Susan ran her own dance school for over 25 years and taught at Tertiary Dance Institutes teaching Certificate IV and Diploma students in Classical Ballet, Pas De Deux and Contemporary. In 2012 Susan was appointed to the board of Examiners for the Royal Academy of Dance.

Parents please note, the last class of each level may also be viewed by RAD teachers so they can continue the focus of the class at their school.
