Court Dog Program - Federal Circuit & Family Court Hobart

About

'Zoey' was sworn in at the Hobart registry of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia on 27 February 2024. She is the official Court Therapy Dog for Tasmania and the second therapy dog to be used in Australian federal courts.

You are invited to hear from Her Honour Judge Taglieri, Zoey's owner, and to meet Zoey, to learn about the positive impact that Zoey is having on people who engage with the court system. Her Honour will provide an overview of the program, its objectives and the experiences so far. Attendees are able to meet and interact with Zoey and her handler, practitioners who have benefitted from the program and the manager of the Court Child Expert division in Hobart.

Afternoon tea will be provided for attendees.

This session is free of charge but bookings are essential. Please note that you will need to pass through security to access the courts.
