Sydney Acting Studio welcomes David Newman to the Studio for a Masterclass.

David has worked in various aspects of the industry for over 30 years. The last 22 years in casting, including 7 years working with Christine King Casting. Having started his casting career with hundreds of commercial projects he then progressed to work on some of the biggest and successful feature film & long-form drama projects to shoot in Australia. In 2010, Dave joined forces with Tom McSweeney to form McSweeney Newman Casting.

Recent projects include NAUTILUS, THE BLUE ,DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD, LOVE & MONSTERS, BLACKLIGHT (staring Liam Neeson),other credits include THE FAMILY LAW, THE END, ROCK ISLAND MYSTERIES, THE BUREAU OF MAGICAL THINGS, MAKO MERMAIDS, RED DOG and EAST WEST 101. He spent 15 months as the Australian Casting Associate on ‘THE PACIFIC' (Stephen Spielberg, Tom Hanks, HBO), conducting well over 3000 auditions.

A scene will be provided to prepare for the Masterclass.
