About the Artist - Lizz Mackenzie

Lizz is a Maitland based photographer who completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) in 2017 and has continued to expand her practice over the years. She specialises in nature and model photography, with a particular focus on the bonds between people and the natural world. One of her favourite projects explored how people develop strong relationships with family pets, including them in all aspects of their lives and attributing human characteristics to them. This is based on her own experiences with her pride of cats, and is something she continues to focus on as the relationship deepens.
