Learn new art making skills in this exciting mixed-media course, covering painting, drawing, collage and ceramics!
About this class:
Are you a teen that wants to get creative? We have you covered. Learn new art making skills in this exciting mixed-media course, covering painting, drawing, collage and ceramics!
Students will work in individual and collaborative art exercises, responding to current exhibition themes that will encourage them to think critically and express their creative individuality.
Geared for students from year 7 to year 10.
Tutor: Elsa Jara
Age: 12-15 years
Dates: Thursdays, 16 May-4 July, 4-5.30pm (8 weeks)
Cost: $150, $100 with a $50 Active and Creative Kids Voucher (Eventbrite fees included).
You will not be able to enrol in a class with a discounted Active and Creative Kids Voucher ticket unless you have a valid Active and Creative Kids Voucher number. Remaining balance cannot be used. Active and Creative Kids Vouchers are only accepted during enrolment periods, thank you for understanding.
What Students Will Learn
We will focus on having fun while experimenting with different art styles and techniques designed to encourage creative thinking and develop drawing and observational skills.
As this class covers a range of mediums, students will develop an array of skills across all mediums.
A wide range of subject matter will be covered including portraits, animals, buildings, landscapes, famous artworks and themes expressed in exhibitions at BAC.

Cancellation Policy:
Bankstown Arts Centre cannot accept responsibility for changes to students’ personal circumstances that prevent attendance. Fees are non-refundable and there are no transfers or refunds if you miss a class.
Fees are kept to a minimum and cover tuition, the use of equipment during classes and where included, the cost of tutor fees and/ or basic materials. Fees and charges may increase per financial year. For more information on fees, refer to Canterbury-Bankstown Fees and Charges document
