About this event

Multi Award winning artist Tatyana will take you through the basic portrait drawing step by step. Tatyana will provide you all instructions you need to learn fundamental drawing and painting.

From these learnings, which will be taught over six sessions, you will be able to develop your own distinctive style.

What you'll learn across the course:

• The fundamental concepts of drawing including composition, proportions, perspective and construction of a drawing.

• Human anatomy including the skull and facial muscles.

• Construction of face elements such as an eye, a nose and lips.

• Facial planes drawing.

• Painting a partial copy of a famous artist’s work, in particular, parts of a face.

• Painting a copy of a portrait by a great master.

• A life portrait painting or portrait from your own photo under your teacher's guidance.

• Portrait painting in oil (optional).
