The Four Ps - Peeing, Pooping, Periods and Personal Hygiene

An unforgettable hour of laughter, inspiration, and practical wisdom on the 4 P's of outdoor adventure as told by a former park ranger.

The Four Ps of Outdoor Recreation

Join Anastasia Allison, a former park ranger and seasoned backpacking instructor for an unforgettable hour of laughter, inspiration, and practical wisdom on the 4 P's of outdoor adventure:

  • PEEING
  • POOPING
  • PERIODS
  • PERSONAL HYGIENE

Anastasia has over a decade of backpacking and mountaineering experience and is eager to share an unforgettable… possibly unpredictable night of tips, tricks, and stories that may not include toilet paper (but will likely include dancing)… leaving you feeling confident and inspired for your next outdoor adventure.

What You're In For:

  • Tales of forgotten toilet paper (because who hasn’t)
  • Confessions of stealing toilet paper from tent mates (because desperate times, take desperate measures)
  • A hilarious ode to pooping and peeing in the woods (It’s a poetic masterpiece)
  • A feeling of confidence about how to handle the 4 Ps in the backcountry
  • A new way of looking at hikes and backpacking trips
  • Tips and tricks from somebody who has been teaching backpacking for over a decade, has summited all five of Washington’s volcanoes and has been hiking and mountaineering for most of her life.
  • Q&A where you can ask Anastasia anything (even about cookies or creepy cats)
  • The chance to dance to one song (if you want)
  • Laughter and fun with other people who are excited about spending time outside
  • Permission to feel joyful and hopeful about the adventures you want to create in your life

Anastasia’s approach to backpacking and hiking is different than most – instead of focusing on all of the things that could go wrong, she has devoted her life to focusing on all of the things that can and will go right. You will leave this session feeling empowered about handling the 4 Ps in the backcountry… and hopefully feeling a bit of inspiration about finding a bit more peace and connection in your life. Her sister, Mare, often says that she is the only person who can write a poem about pooping and peeing and end up rhyming about the meaning of life by the end of it.
