The shortest day and the longest night have long been celebrated. Symbolising rebirth, renewal and the return of the light, it's now Queenscliffe's turn to celebrate.

The Hopi Indians celebrated with purification rituals, dancing and sometimes gift giving, the Norsemen lit fires to ward off evil spirits, the Romans gave slaves a day off, the Incas feasted and made sacrifices of animals and small children. (This is an 18+ event and no animals will be harmed.)

Join DJ Vince Peach to celebrate the midwinter in a truly Queenscliff fashion with Cold + Conscious Ice baths and Hello Sauna - traditional Finnish Sauna on wheels, food trucks and a few other surprises.

$2 from each ticket sale will be donated to QCAN -Queenscliff Climate Action Now to assist in their efforts to become world leaders in responding to the impacts we face from climate change.
