Djinang Djidimya Community Planting Day

Join us for a community planting day at Attadale Reserve and help us revegetate our precious foreshore!

Djinang Djidimya, ‘Look a Place of Many Birds’ is an area of the Attadale Reserve where prominent community volunteer group, SERAG, have spent many years restoring the bushland.

This planting day will be extending the foreshore vegetation buffer which is a key action in the Attadale Alfred Cove Foreshore Master Plan.

Requirements:

  • All volunteers must sign in and out - if you arrive late or leave early please make sure to find a staff member to sign in/out. We will be planting here.
  • E nclosed shoes, long pants and long sleeves required
  • A water bottle
  • Gloves
  • Weather appropriate clothing (hat, sunscreen, raincoat)

Provided:

  • Morning tea
  • Planting tools and spare gloves

Restrictions and considerations:

  • All ages, abilities and levels of experience are welcome, however children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times
  • The closest public toilets will be at Point Walter - a 2.5km (5min) drive from the planting site.
