Professional development training for Early Years Educators
Family Violence in a Child's World is a training developed for Early Years Educators, to support them to understand and respond to children experiencing family violence.
This training aims to enhance educators:
• Understand what Family Violence is & how it hurts children.
• Explore how our own experiences influence how we work with children.
• Use books & other tools to help children express their emotions safely.
• Use mindfulness & reflection to help us to talk meaningfully with children.
• Build skills in seeing & understanding children’s feelings & behaviours.
• Explore the barriers of talking with parents about the worries we have.
This face-to-face training will be held at the Wangaratta Library on September 4th and 5th 2024, from 4pm - 7pm. A light supper will be provided.
Please contact the Family Violence Child Safety team at UMFC on fvcw@umfc.com.au with any queries/ questions.
