Making Japanese sweets 'Nerikiri dough' workshop

Learning how to make Japanese confectionery 'Nerikiri' dough. You will also make one shape of Nerikiri. Make it, taste it, enjoy it!

Wagashi are traditional Japanese sweet delicacies commonly enjoyed with green tea. Nerikiri, a form of Wagashi, is one of the famous traditional Japanese treats. It is an artistic Japanese confectionery which is moulded into various natural shapes according to the season.

In this workshop, you will learn how to make a 'Nerikiri' dough from scratch with Minako from the Sakura Japanese Culture Centre. You will also experiment adding the colour, and make one shape of Nerikiri! You will recieve the recipe and some dough to take home.

Matcha green tea will be offered after the lesson to enjoy with the Nerikiri.

All Nerikiri are gluten-free and vegan friendly.

Ingredients: Adzuki beans, Lima beans, sugar, glutinous rice flour(it's gluten-free, despite its name), narural food colouring.
