Laura is a regional artist based in Dubbo NSW who started painting at a very early age and has been expanding and honing her skills ever since.

Inspired by the need to push the boundaries with colour and texture, Laura is forever playing with new layers and processes.

This workshop dives into making a loose, blocked in shape of your chosen subject, then working with purposeful mark making and deliberate colour selections to help your subject really sing!

We discuss surface options, drawing techniques, colour selections, positive and negative space and SO MUCH MORE! 

What to bring:

• Your own lunch, or buy locally (plenty of options)
• Tea and coffee is available, but bring your fave mug if you wish
• A3+ sized backing board if you have one, a clipboard or mdf panel to put your work 
• Apron to protect your clothes
• Old towel or cloth to put under your work and protect the tables
• Notebook and pen in case you'd like to take notes
• Desk easel if you wish
