NAIDOC Week primary schools incursion (Prep-Year 6)

Live-streamed NAIDOC Week workshop

Teachers and Educators, celebrate NAIDOC week this year with State Library’s free, interactive workshop, live-streamed directly into your classroom, Wednesday 10th July.

'Keep the fire burning! Blak, loud and proud'. NAIDOC 2024 shines a light on that enduring strength and vitality of indigenous cultures passed down through generations against great adversity. This schools workshop will cover stories of cultural celebration, unwavering commitment to justice and equality and will aim to help preserve and share the cultural history of our great nation.

With primary sources from Colonisation to contemporary, this workshop will use real-world collections to demonstrate the importance of our history to all Australians.

Bookings are essential. This will be a multi-school/class event. This session will be held online via Microsoft Teams (a link will be provided upon booking).
