Movie Nights - Happy Feet 1 and 2

Get rugged up in your pyjamas and enjoy a hot chocolate with us to watch Happy Feet at Piney Lakes Centre!

Come join the fun at Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre's indoor movie nights this July school holidays! Watch "Happy Feet" on Monday, July 1st, and "Happy Feet Two" on Monday, July 8th. Free hot chocolate and popcorn on arrival.

Bring your PJ's, blankets and ugg boots for this fun night in!

Movie Summaries:

Happy Feet 1: The movie highlights how humans can negatively impact nature, particularly through overfishing and pollution. However, it also shows that by recognizing these issues and prioritizing environmental protection, we can begin to heal the damage we've caused.

Happy Feet 2: The sequel demonstrates that even the largest and most daunting challenges, like climate change and habitat destruction, can be overcome when many individuals come together and work towards a common goal, emphasizing the power of unity and collaboration.

Both movies have a run time of ~1 hour 40 minutes.

Movie will start once everyone is settled. Latecomers may not be admitted if it will disturb guests.

Family friendly social event- This is a casual event, all ages welcome, please be respectful to each other and your environment. Caregivers are responsible for the health and safety of their children at all times and should remove children if they are disturbing others, quiet spaces will be available at this event.

Disabled parking is available at front of Centre, rooms are located on multiple levels via a ramp and toilets are available within the venue. For specific access requirements please feel free to call or email the centre at (08)9364 0191 or

Directions to centre

Please consider using public transportation. A bus stop, just a 2-minute walk away, is conveniently located near the Centre and services multiple routes.

The Centre is located at 555 Leach Highway, Winthrop in the Piney Lakes reserve. To reach us, if heading westbound, take the first left after Murdoch Drive on Leach Highway. If coming from the Fremantle area, continue on Leach Hwy across Murdoch Drive and use the designated U-turn just after the lights to move to the westbound lanes. Go back through the lights at Murdoch Drive and take the first left. Please park in the signed public carpark.
