Talking Tech Workshop: Beyond Gmail

There’s more to Google apps than simply Gmail. If you have a Gmail account, you can enjoy Google Drive’s convenient cloud storage for your calendar, documents and spreadsheets so you won’t need a USB thumb drive to keep your files safe. These apps are especially useful if you access your files and emails from multiple devices or use public computers like the ones at the library as both software and files are stored remotely. Come along and see for yourself.

Bookings are free, but strictly limited. Please book only if you can attend on the day!

Please bring along to the workshop:

• Bring your own device (smartphone, tablet or laptop) to connect to the internet. You will need the appropriate passcodes/passwords and authority to log into your Gmail account.
• If you don't have a device, you may request to use a library laptop during the workshop to access Gmail via a web browser. You will need the appropriate password and authority to log into your Gmail account.
• We recommend bringing your mobile phone to the workshop as it may be needed for a verification code when logging in.

• You must be a Library member to attend. Library membership is free and you can sign up at any branch or online today.
• If you are unable to attend please cancel your tickets as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate in the event.
• Tickets are not transferrable.
• Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to run on time.
• Due to the safety and enjoyment of participants, we are unable to admit latecomers to the room after the start time.
• Your ticket can be cancelled by the organiser at any time without further notice.
• Your attendance at events supported by Randwick City Council may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or video recordings. Images may be used for promotional purposes on council's websites, publications, social media or by newspapers. By attending this session you agree to these terms.
