Upcycling Workshop – Planting seedlings

A crafty hands-on workshop involving upcycling old items into something new and beautiful!

At this workshop we’ll be educating children and their families on the importance of rethinking about our waste while getting crafty in the process. We’ll be taking some old unwanted items or something that would normally go into the bin and turn them each into something new and beautiful – and good for your garden! 😊

If you fancy joining in a hands-on session in which you’ll plant some seeds or seedlings ideal for winter growing, learn something new, and engage in some fun games then this workshop is for you.

The session welcomes children and adults of all ages but is best suited for children aged over 5 years old. We have two upcycling activities planned that will involve parental support or supervision. Have a look around your home and bring along an item that you no longer need or want and can be used again for this workshop.

Examples include:

A tea cup, mug, small bowl, small-medium sized Tupperware container (no lid needed), empty and clean milk bottles, milk cartons, plastic bottles, glass jars or tin (steel) cans.

We’ll provide everything else needed on the day.

Places are limited so registrations are essential! And if you change your mind or are no longer available to attend once you’ve registered, please ensure you update your attendance so we can ensure those on the waitlist can be given the opportunity to attend.

We look forward to seeing you there!
