ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:

ANIMAL KIN

3 August - 20 October 2024

Humans have close connections with animals of all sorts. Many of us live with pets who consider as part of our families and some are passionate about the conservation of native wildlife. First nations people across Australia often have totemic relationships with certain species, while some cultural groups from around the world are closely associated with iconic beasts. This exhibition asks us to think about our varied relationships with animals and explores the idea that animals really are our kith and kin.

Animal Kin is a collaborative project developed by Orange Regional Museum, Orange Regional Gallery and the SPARKE networks of local public primary schools.
