Young Mentors Technology Support Program (8-week course)

This program is a collaboration between secondary school students and seniors of the library community to improve their digital skills.

The Young Mentors Technology Support Program is a collaboration between South Sydney High School students and senior members of the library community, supporting elderly individuals in improving their digital skills. This program additionally provides students with the opportunity to acquire valuable teaching, communication and leadership skills.

This 8-week course aims to enhance your technology skills when using iPads, iPhones and computers.

Program dates: 7/8/24, 14/8/24, 21/8/24, 28/8/24, 4/9/24, 11/9/24, 18/9/24 and 25/9/24. The course runs on Wednesdays for 8 weeks from 7 August to 25 September 2024, from 2pm to 3pm. You only need to register once to be able to attend the full program.

Please note: Participants must bring their own device/s.

  • You must be a Library member to attend. Library membership is free and you can join online and at any branch.
  • Bookings are essential and spaces are limited.
  • You only need to register once to be able to attend the full program.

  • If you are unable to attend the program, please cancel your ticket. This will enable others to participate in the event.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to run on time.

  • Your attendance at events supported by Randwick City Council may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or video recordings.
