Welcome to the dazzling world of Burlesque with Burlyflexx.

Led by the mesmerising performer Lou P Scarlett, this electrifying 8-week program is designed to ignite your confidence and celebrate your unique sensuality. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or stepping into heels for the very first time, this course will guide you through the fundamentals of burlesque and teach you the art of striptease.

Classic Burlesque draws on the timeless traditions of the 20th-century showgirl combing the elements of dance, music, tease and vintage glamour. Throughout this course, you’ll master the core foundations of burlesque: the bump and grind, the shimmy, the shake, and the strut. You’ll explore the art of stage presence, the power of the gaze, and character development.

Each week, you’ll build on what you’ve learned, developing a slow and sensual group routine inspired by the legendary, Betty Page. Over the 8 weeks, this work culminates in a final performance at One Playground for Lou P and your fellow students and those ready to take it a step further, there is also the opportunity to perform on stage at The Vanguard at the conclusion of the program.

Your 8 week program will include:

Nipple tassels, gloves and 1x costume piece (this will be presented through the duration of the course)

What You Need To Provide:

Undergarments (bra, underwear, stockings) + heels

One Playground Performance Day @ Marrickville - Sunday 10th May 2026, 5.30pm - 6.30pm

External Performance @ The Vanguard Newtown - Wednesday 13th May 2026 (optional)
